Nov18/2020 Gas

It's  what keeps the vehicle moving for most vehicles. One day I decided to explore  west toward California.  I had a cap on my pickup bed. I would sleep in there. No heat. Beginning of my trip I was in the Appalachians. That night it went down to 15 degrees. Boy I felt every one of those ice degrees. Couldn't  wait for the sun to come up. I lifted up the cap hatch and looked out, everything was pure white to the tune of 4 inches.  Pretty nice cold sight.

I made it to St Louis. Underground is a museum at the arch. I took in a movie on how the arch was built. They built it in two stages. The left and the right and they were built at the same time meeting up in the air at the mid point. The builders had to  meet perfectly at the apex, no room for error. They were welded at site, many sections of stainless steel. The base they made would allow them to adjust the sculpture by moving It's  base  to  meet up with the opposing  half arch. Super great movie.

I was in western New Mexico at a  rest stop. Had breakfast  and headed back onto the interstate. I get a nudge to fill up eventhough I had a little less than 3/4 full. I figured  I could fill up later down the road. So I kept going. Hot desert driving. The sun bouncing off the hood would score me a nice headache at the end of the day. Should have traveled at night. At a 1/4 tank I kept an eye out for a gas station. No gas to be had, dammit. The needle of gas gauge would hit the very bottom and then bounce up to an 1/8 th of a tank full. Usually there is a 10 mile reserve left in tank when it hits zero. For a hundred miles the needdle would bounce from zero to an 1/8th of a tank. Eventually I saw a California cop parked at side of road giving someone a ticket. I tell him to keep an eye out for me, I didn't  think I was going to make a gas station. But there was one up ahead. 100 miles riding on empty... wow.

When I got back home, one day I was low on gas. I was near  my old high school. I watched the needle hit the E for empty. That was it the truck stopped. No bouncing needle this time. I walked a quarter mile to get gas. Spirit had my back, back in Calufornia.  At that time I didn't  know about spirit. But it knew me.

A friend of mine was in the Navy. I guess it was his 4th year. He just completed a double shift. He was out before his head hit the pillow.  The next day was a Saturday, his day off. He didn't  drive his car for a week.  He was sitting in his sport car stewing about his life. He made up his mind, he was going about, he turns the key  no gas. He can't  believe it. His whole life he was a topper. A person who loves to see a full gas tank. He would fill up even if he needed only 2 gals. He just stared in disbelief..... the ways of spirit. He did quit the navy.  A year later, Honorable discharge.

Nov17 2020 Two Americas

I thought about this when I woke up last week. From my bathroom window I watch the birds at my bird feeder doing their thing. Nice peacefull sight until the occasional hawk pays a visit. Well they gotta eat too you know.

The dream was me looking out the bathroom window. A bald eagle descends and makes its kill of a rabbit on the grass to the left of the bird feeder. Then a snake rears up 6 inches in front of my window its head morphs into a pewter dragon head. The snake slash dragon is after a kitten on the window ledge. It gets it and starts to strangle it.

My interpretation  is this. England is the Lion, France the Cock,  Russia the Bear.  US the Eagle. The US as the eagle does it's  instinctive action, what is expected of its  nature.  The snake/dragon is abnormal  another word would be Evil.  A kitten is cute and lovable.  The kitten is democracy and freedom.  An Evil now permeates  our society corrupting everything  it touches .

It begins with you! When you arise in the morning ask spirit to show you the truth as it applies to everything that affects your life.  You put out good will, it will come back to you. Let's  say your on the road someone cuts you off, you curse and shake your fist at them. Well either later in the day or sometime in the near future  you will do the same to someone else. For the most part I let people merge in. In return through the months, people let me merge in.

Once there was this woman who was easy going. She was getting these bad words in her head as she was driving to work. This was not her, she asked spirit what was going on? Spirit told her it was the thoughts of the other drivers. Thats the state of our consciousness.  It's  a terrible place to be 'swimming ' in. We don't  have to be a part of this toxic soup. We always have a choice in how  to  conduct ourselves. It only takes a second.

CarefulI  in picking your battles. Sometimes you have  to stick up for yourself. If someone  is pressuring you to do something your not keen on doing. Do not do it! My friend  Karen was pressured to come see her relatives  in a state a thousand miles away. She hesitated  in going. She let her mind talk her out of her initial impulse. She went and they turned  on her. They had their doctors and lawyers box her up and quickly stashed her in a home. The house that she treasured was stolen from her. You get a strong impulse to do an action, please Listen  for your sake.

Nov/01/2020 The Slide

It was last Friday Oct 30.  It was drizzling,  I'm in my old truck going down a small hill. Up ahead are cars waiting on the light. Hit the brakes and the truck is sliding on down and I'm  about to strike the rear of a passenger van. I call out God's  name and the truck stopped. It didn't look good, I braced for the hit even though I was going about 4 miles an hr. Oh it was God Allright that had my back. I thanked him alot.  I'm  going to have to get better rubber on those wheels way sooner than later. In dry weather the truck stops fine. The tires aren't  bald, they just need thicker tread.

My day would gave been pretty crummy had I hit that person. Thanks God for all the seen and unseen things that you do for me.

Turns out a couple days later,  I hear a grinding coming from the front brakes. 400 dollars lighter I now  have new brakes , everything replaced. It wasn't  the tires. Rear brakes will be next when I get the money. Front brakes  do most of the braking. Replace these first.

10/16/2020 Delaying Tactic

My pickup truck's  bed is in need of replacement.  Having sustained multiple hits and rust damage. Last year, I needed some extra money.  I was in this nursery yard's loading section, getting a load of mulch.  The operator of the big pay loader was getting ready to dump the mulch into my bed. When all of a sudden it lurched forward and smashed into the side of my truck. It then rolled back 5 ft and again it lurched forward and hit the truck in the same spot.  The truck sustained a mega ding in  it. The truck's bed was stoved in 6 inches over a 3 ft area. The owner  of the garden place comes out. I tell him how about a thousand. He shakes his head no. 500 he says. How about 750 then. 500 says he. 600 says I. 500 says him. 501 says I.  Deal says him. I walked out with 501 cash. The extra money I was looking for. Thank-you  spirit!

A couple weeks ago, my truck broke down for 2nd time in a week. First time it was the battery, 2nd time it turned out to be the alternator ( the doohickey that charges the battery while driving). The truck broke down 2 miles near my house at a service station. Spirit delayed my breakdown from earlier in the day when I would have been further away from my house and costing me more money for a tow.

I was going to buy this house with all its contents. I went to the house to make the down payment but the day before it rained hard. When I got to the house all looked good. I decided to look in the crawl space where last week it was bone dry today the water was up to the floor joists. The deal is off says I. Thanks spirit for the fortuitous  thunder storms!

When you are delayed for some reason, you are in a new time zone. Just proceed forth without being in too much of a hurry in trying  to make up for the lost  time. Try to focus where you're  at. One day my father was getting ready to Move, he had a lot on his mind and wound  up getting in a fender bender at the bank.

In making big decisions wait at least 3 days before making a decision.  Use other people suggestions, your own dreams and your own research. Then ma k e  the decision.  If you want things to change.it is you that starts the ball rolling.

10/03/2020 Democracy

Democracy is a precious gift that we here in the US have given ourselves.  It didn't  come cheap. Many sacrifices were born by many colonists.  They defeated the number one military power in the world. It only happened because of God lending his hand behind the scenes help. George Washington was trapped on Long Island NY in 1775. Situation was dire for the colonists. The lit candle  was about  to be snuffed. Then out of nowhere a dense fog enveloped the area. Washington with the help of Massachusetts  sailors was able to escape using fires placed many feet apart to make the Brits think that he was still there and big row boats to ferry his soldiers to Manhattan.  God brought the fog at the right time and place. Another  situation developed  in Pennsylvania when George Washington  was out conversing with 2 other officers early  in the morning.  Unbeknownst  to George a British sharpshooter had him in his sights, he didn't  know it was George. He had his finger on the trigger, but he couldn't  pull it. He said he couldn't  shoot because he felt that it wasn't right to take someone   down when they were no threat. Just  maybe  it was God speaking to him  (the British soldier)  very softly in the morning  light. George would also have musket balls tear through his cloak throughout the war, never sustaining a major wound. God was on his side. George was part of God's master plan for the human race. Which is still unfolding to this very day. Today democracy hangs in the balance. What will you do to keep the light of democracy  burning. Democracy  is about empathy  for ones fellow citizen.  Look out for your self and once in awhile look after the ones who don't  have it as good as you.

I like this sentiment a rising tide raises all boats.

10/01/2020 Contagion

Covid 19 and now the start of the flu season. Plus indirect effects from the contagion could possibly see 1 million American  deaths by the Spring of 2021.  Get your flu shot now and listen to the scientists and doctors. Also ask spirit for it's help.

God help us.  Which I believe  God does.

9/26/2020 Ahh No Charge

I just left Target, got into my truck turned the key and get a click click. This truck is going nowhere fast. I did have a prior warning though, it had a little hesitation early in the morning when starting the truck but it did roar to life. And it did start up  the next 5 times until the 6th time. Damn. Another day not making money.  No good.  Pop the hood and try my little trick of banging on the terminals with the handle end of  a big screw driver.  Worked many times for me before. Not this time however. The battery says it is a 6 yr battery and in two more months it will be 6 yrs. They do know their batteries. Six months before your battery hits its life expectancy I suggest you replace it now. Or you will be pondering your next move like me.  Next move was get a new battery.  Call up auto part stores, 100 bucks and up too much. I try junk yards. Way better 30 to 50  dollars for my battery. Call my wife jump in her car half hr later get to the yard and paid 30 bucks. The guy put a tester on it that places a load on battery which drains it and then I saw it return to 12 volts after the load is removed. When he did it to my old battery , there was no recovery.  Got it back in truck started right up. But the day was done.

It's  now a week later.  I start it up and there was a just a hint of hesitation.  But it started.  I notice that the battery gauge is hitting 12 volts. Too low, the alternator should be charging the battery to the tune of 15 volts. Come to the traffic light the truck dies. Flashers aren't  working. I get out of truck and push it via the door frame and steer it walking alongside it. So I'm  trying to enter the right lane, and 2 people sneak past me in their cars, I can't  hit the brake... some people. I get the truck off onto the side road and there's a little rise into the gas station parking lot.  I'm  now in the driver's seat look in the rear mirror and there's a young guy pushing me with his hands on my tail gate. The truck's  too heavy to get it up the rise. The young guy says he'll  pull it up the rest of  the way with his truck and a strap it works fine. I walk to close by auto part store. Talk to guy says if vehicle is running and motor cuts out it's  probably the alternator. Go back to service station tell him to replace  alternator. 225 bucks..... ouch! Call my neighbor, who happened to be home, thanks spirit. He came and got me. The breakdown occured near home and not 10 miles away where I was a half hr later. Thanks to spirit it was closer to home. Plus I broke down at the gas station. All these little coincidences helped me immensely.  Thanks to spirit. The truck episode developed over 2 weeks. Spirit brought  me through it, step by step. My part was to keep pushing forward, thinking how to fix my problem  and spirit helping me behind the scenes.
