I saw a finch up in the sky going after a hawk. Hawk is leisurely flapping his wings but the finch was by himself and single purposed. Hawk was like who cares. The finch had his own ideas. He wanted that hawk out of his territory period. We should be like that finch, brave and single purposed. Know what we want and get after it.
Last 5 mos I've been looking for a cheaper place to live. A lot of dead ends. Working on 2 things the car problem and an abode. Yesterday, I finally got the alternator fixed after 21)2 weeks. Trying to get car past emissions for last 18 mos. I brought my mechanic a junkyard alternator last November. That day he said a part on it was broke, I told him to get a new one then. So, the car worked. Lost out on 50 bucks for the used alternator. Could've got my money back from junk yard but didn't have the time plus it was far away. So I ate the cost. Eventually tried to get the car through emissions once again. I take it to service stations and say how much to get a sticker. They won't give me a price. I say to them if I give you 500 bucks and it doesn't work then what. Well we have to look more. I say yeah and more money. This is why it is taking this long. In my old state I had about 20 vehicles and usually had them registered in one day. Not this state. I fixed the physical things on my car myself. That passed. The previous person who had the car before me got in an accident on the highway. The front end and backend got damaged but still driveable. So this accident was to my benefit. It is my belief that DS set this up. I took off the front plate because it had a bad sticker. The nearby state has no front plate. Got stopped 3 times one time getting a ticket. One day the bungee cord broke that kept the trunk lid down. I replaced it with a wider rubber strap. I positioned it over the bad sticker. This has worked.
Found another mechanic. I like this guy. Failed on a purge valve and alternator which I had replaced 8 mos ago with a new one. This alternator was putting out over 15 volts, suppose to be under 15. Had to take it back to my mechanic to replace it. The part is warranted. But had to pay 80 dollars for the labor even though I already paid for the labor before. But second time the labor was less, he cut me a break. So total loss was 130 for junk yard alternator and second labor on alternator install. So get a new alternator when you have to have it done and have them show you on a meter that it is putting out less than 15 volts before you leave the shop. The purge valve I'm going to do myself. Had that done 2 years ago for 260 dollars. My new mechanic says it's not good. Gonna do it myself for under 20 bucks. It's good to try to do it yourself. I talked to many mechanics before I found my new guy. I have hope in that I'll finally get it across the finish line. Then try to find that abode. This is something new in trying to get things done for me. There is a reason and I haven't figured it out yet.
