Another mass shooting yesterday. And on and on it goes. Growing up, I only remember 1 mass shooting every 3-4 yrs. This latest one in Colorado comes 8 days after the Atlanta shootings. The Colorado shooter was anti social. Why? My guess is mentally he was on the edge of mental stability for years. Then in school he was harrased by fellow students with very unkind words. Then he would just stew for days on end. Most people would let it go like water off a duck's back. This guy couldn't. So maybe it's a good thing to teach respect to your kids at a very young age, say starting at age 3. It's about showing them in your own actions. When they call someone a unkind name you gently reprimand them. Would you like it if someone called you that name? Practice kindness on a daily basis. Talk to your kids daily about subjects concerning kindness. Did your kid experience anything at school that made them feel not so good?Draw them out as soon as they get home from school. This has to be done everyday. Otherwise the events of yesterday will keep occurring. Meaness can and will beget violence whether with words or deeds.
After the shooting people in Colorado ran out and bought even more guns than ever before. So fearful, they live their lives in fear. That fear is shown to the kids and they become their fearful parents. On and on it goes.
To have a clean environment it starts with picking up a piece of trash and putting it in a proper waste container. To fix the shootings it starts with showing and l I stewing to your kid on a daily basis. That's your number 1 job.
