9/10/2021 The Right Move


    Read a story yesterday  about football.  Mike Golic who was a tackle on the Miami Dolphins football team. He was past 10 years playing ball. He injured his knee and was on injured reserve at the time.  He wanted to test the knee at practice. But they wanted him to sign a waiver before he did that. Months before the team signed 2 new tackles. Soon after the team released Golic. Here's the thing, the team couldn't  release him while he was on injured reserve. When  he signed, it took him off the reserve and the team quickly released him. He never played in a game after that. They didn't  have his best interest at heart. This also happened to players who sustained head injuries. They weren't  dealt with properly so as to keep the player on the field.

    Always ask spirit  what is the best track to follow. Do I do this action A or action B or C. Then use your head in finding the better way. You can ask trusted friends for their input. Write down all leads that you can come up with. Sleep on it and think on the problem a couple days. When it feels right to you, write down the best move.  Make a decision a couple days later. This is for major decisions. 

    I test drove a pickup once and I felt a little hesitation when accelerating.  I dismissed  it because I was enamored vwith the look of the truck.. I bought the truck. It bit me 2 months later. Had to have the transmission redone eventhough it was redone a full year prior by previous owner. The transmission shop wouldn't  make good on their repair. So I got a little warning but I didn't  use critical thinking in making a good decision  for me. I'm  wiser now. We have to think in all areas of our life and I mean  All.

9/08/2021 A LITTLE FLAME

 

    The main purpose of this blog series is to develop your trust in spirit.  That was created by God for the sole purpose so that souls  [ that being you] can interact with  God. To make your muscles get strong, they have to be worked. Take walking and lifting for example.  I use dumbells.  You work your muscles on a daily basis  and you will see very good results in a couple months. The same with spirit, you have to work it, use it. Like breathing where you don't  even notice your doing it. If your working toward a goal and you get stuck,  call on spirit for that helping hand.  Any inner nudges you get may be the key  or someone may say something, or you may get the clue from what you read.  Spirit has many ways to assist you in getting that goal. If you have good motives,  it makes the help come more easily lets say. The more you use spirit the brighter will be the flame. Do your 5 to 10 min of thinking of a situation that gives you joy.  Reflect within. This time is quiet time for you.  Many differing thoughts will come,  just brush them aside. Focus on a blank page within. Over time you can ask a question and visualize  it written on the page. Either hear the answer or see it written out.  Be creative in looking for an answer.  Practice makes perfect. Always date and write down your experiences whenever you get them. Your the director of your life. Think what it is that you want and begin the first step in putting step 1 goal into action.  Attain it. Then work on step 2. Continue till goal is met.  Write down how long it took you to get it. The more focus and more energy you invest in it the quicker will be the results.

Make that flame burn. Then life will be more joyfull. Learn from your mistakes. You will rise higher because of them. Overcome negative people's take on you. Believe in your endeavors. I can do this. And I will do great things in my life. Then you will have earned your seat at the table.

9/04/2021 It goes Boom

 

    Just before  covid times,  I was mowing a friends yard.  In the grass was a plastic ball.  I picked it up and it was not a ball at all. Yep definitely,  it's  a grenade allright.  I kept it,  I'm looking at it right now. In the last 2 years this metaphor came to pass for me. January  2020.  I'm  watching TV late at night and there are Chinese  people laying in the hallways of a hospital in Wuhan. The hallways are narrow  and the doctor is walking through  trying  not to step on anybody.  Oh Oh, I said that is a pandemic in the making. I told my sister  what was coming, she poo pooed it, oh it's  just the flu. I said no it's  not. Three weeks later she doesn't  think it's  the flue. Just great. Autumn 2019 my gal needed major surgery and now this. But thanks to dedicated scientists we got vaccines within the year. Good on you guys and gals. I just counted the days til we could get our shots. We are very thankfull  for the shots. Why anyone would refuse the shot is beyond my understanding. If everyone got the shot we wouldn't  be having problems with the Delta variant. And what's  so wrong about wearing a mask anyways. People dying because of their stupidity.  See prior blog post.  Not only do they hurt themselves but strangers as well. Some people lament I didn't  have the time. Priorities buddy. Get them in alignment. It took a half hr to get my shot. These people couldn't  sacrifice a half hr or say 2 hrs to go get the shot. I don't  get it at all. Everyone I see on TV who didn't  get the shot and they have covid and are in a hospital bed, now say to the camera oh get the shot you don't  want this at all. So you have to wait to get to get hit over the head to do it. Makes No Sense!

    So my gal has another medical problem, that's going to take some time to solve.  It's  one thing after the other. The same with the country. Will we still have a democracy? God I hope so. All these dark clouds  around but there are still silver linings  to be found within. And when you discover one, be thankfull. You earned it. So there are thing's  to be thankfull for during these times, I for one have found them. So when your life goes Boom don't  fret. No matter how dark it gets, look for the silver.  It's  waiting for you.

9/03/2021. S Is for Stupid

 

     We all do something stupid on a regular basis. The trick is to learn from the stupid act. After you do something stupid, it is time to reflect on what made us do the stupid. The only way to fix stupid is to think about the situation.  Thinking about it and coming up with an answer can prevent future stupid actions.

      So alot of times being lazy or impatient is what led up to the stupid act. I have to tell myself to dial it back a notch.  Here is something small. When I went toward the waste basket, I threw a wad of paper at it and it missed.  I picked it up again and did the same thing, another miss.  I focused more on try 3 and it went in.  If we can give a little thought to the little things in life it will prepare us for the bigger things later on.  Bigger things are happening now, like how to handle the future, what are you doing now  to prepare?  Me ,  in reflection got an F for my lack of effort in this department. When you find yourself living in the future with a lack of funds, it gets antsy real quick. And it's  Tuff no question about it.   Dumb dumb dumb.  God, I hope I can learn from this. Only thing you can do is pick yourself up and continue on.  Because there is no such word as quit.

    Say you are about to get in a verbal fight. Stop. Not worth it.  Only  plenty of bad blood will come of it. Best to keep quiet.  Leave the area. Go to a quiet space inside you. Think about how you found yourself here. What was my motive in this debacle.  Real learning happens here.  Look at yourself critically admit to yourself your selfish aims.  Then write down what happened on this day. After this day you will be less stupid.

    Speak to yourself in the morning.  It's a morning pep talk. I will do my best to be less stupid. I will use my brain to think things through.  By doing or saying  A,  B or C , this will happen. Does the end result benefit  me and others?  If it's  a yes then proceed. During the rest of the day, decisions  will be coming up what to say, how to say it and the actions you take. It's  work, but it will benefit  you immensely  as the days go by.  It will lead to a more happy life.

8/27/2021 Butt Park

  

    Today I talked to God. I said what are you doing to me. I was sitting in a hallway.  I would get up and down. I went to sit down backing up to the chair. I slipped off but didn't go down. Half hour later the same thing backing into chair, I go off the side of chair and hit the ground. Didn't  get hurt. Two times in a half hour. That's  how God talks to me. He doubles the experience in a short period of time. Look where you park your butt. I wasn't  focused on the present moment. The present moment is where we live,  always. Another reminder.  Have to be constantly aware of out thoughts in any given moment otherwise you will miss the mark like I did and find yourself looking up from the floor.

    There is always something to be thankfull  for. The fact I didn't  get hurt. So several months ago a woman  did the same thing she backed her suv into a parking space.  There was construction to the rear of the parking lot and there was a drop off. She forgot and took a step back from the rear of  the suv door.  Down she went and broke her arm she thought. Stop look and listen  always, or you may find yourself in an emergency room one of these days.

8/26/2021 We R are our Choices

 

    Each and every day we have decisions to make.  What were going to eat, what clothes to wear, errands that need doing and how to treat others. We become our choices. With choice you can change direction on a dime. The road you selected initially  can end right now. You can go off in a totally  different  direction.  You can change your attitude toward a negative event, which will make it better for you.  In these past blogs I showed you how you can make these beneficial  changes.  You are the director of your own life.  If you desire something, you have to make a plan in how to attain it.  A note pad will keep you focused on what you can do to make it happen. Time will have to be expended on it.  All the while thinking I will get to the goal.  Set up mini goals on your way to the big goal, put a time limit on the mini goals. Work hard on these mini goals.  Look over them on a daily basis. Did you attain it?  If you didn't , write down what stopped you from getting it.  Hit a dead end?  Then ask spirit to help you around the blockage. To see if this works select a small final goal and go after it. When you get it, write it down how long it took you to get it. Once you do it you will have your  confidence  built up.  It only gets better  here on out.

    

    When you are going after your goals, keep a record of your successes and failures.  Alot can be learned by our failures.  You have to reflect on the failures, a lot of good stuff is found here. The harder the fall or fail the greater the potential growth for you.  Own your mistakes, don't  blame others.  Regroup push onward.  Say you spent months working on a project and it falls apart.  Don't  panic, look at it from all angles and see where you can do better. If you believe in the goal  do not give up.

     I spent 5 yrs going to a chiopracter. I go in crooked and come out walking straight. After the 5th yr I said wait a minute. I'm  going to have to do something to fix myself. I started with exercises that weren't  tuff on the back. By the 7th yr, I was better and didn't  need the chiopracter anymore. When I first got hurt with the back, my first thought was I will get better. There was no doubt in my mind.   It took 7 yrs to get back to the way I was. If I would have did the exercises quicker maybe it would have been 3 yrs instead of 7. You have to have the belief first then do the work to make it happen.

    Focus on your goals and don't  let anyone talk you out of it. Just make sure your actions aren't  hurting anyone. Be careful  with your choices. Record all lessons good and bad.

8/18/2021 Afghanistan

 

     The country that gave safe haven to Al- Quaeda. From which they plotted the 9/11 attacks  on US.  The government was removed by US maneuvers.  The US  botched their stay there due to no good plan on how to turn around the Afghan people.  The afghans got a gift what a democracy  could do for them.  Number 1 was giving them a taste of freedom but it wasn't enough. When the chips were on the line, they compitulated mostly without a fight.  A US skeleton force could have kept the status quo.  Just to keep the taliban locked up near the mountains . Keep the elections legit and let them figure out the rest. No nation building. Give them guidance and that would of been that.

    The US helped  with the rebuilding of Europe after the war as well as the Phillipines  and Japan. After the Korean War we fixed up south Korea.  We could of did the same for Afghanistan. It would just have taken longer. You teach the kids in grade school to be a better them. After 3 generations you will have a more understanding generation able to face their destiny  with way less violence.

    We have to stick together as a nation to protect the world from another hell on Earth. Germany and it's  allies tried to do this back in 1939 . It was a very strong US that was able to stop it. We did it because we stayed together after the Civil  War.

    Be a deep thinker. Look outside the box.
